Athletes

The Athletes page is your roster and the front door to the whole dashboard. It lists every player in the organisation, and each name links to that athlete's detailed page.

Who can use it: everyone can view the roster. Adding, editing and importing players is for admins and coaches.

The roster table

Open the dashboard and you land here. The table shows, per player:

  • Jersey number, name, position and basic demographics (age, height, weight).
  • Availability — a coloured status (available, injured, ill, suspended, personal, away) with the date it took effect.
  • Last activity — when the player last produced data of each kind (GPS, gym, jump, wellness). The colour escalates as data goes stale: grey up to ~10 days, amber 11–21 days, red beyond 21. A blank means no data of that kind yet.
  • Consent — whether the player has granted data-use consent, and when.

Use the availability filter chips at the top to narrow the list — for example, to see only injured players at a glance.

The roster also shows an "N of max" count against your organisation's athlete limit (default 75), so you can see how much headroom you have before adding more.

Adding a single player

Click Add player to open the side panel. Only the display name is required; everything else is optional:

  • Jersey number, position, date of birth, height, weight.
  • Availability status.
  • Email — set this so the player can sign in and use the player app. Underdog links the login to the profile by email automatically.
  • GPS provider's athlete ID (the federation ID) — this is what routes the player's GPS data to their profile. Get it wrong and their data goes elsewhere, so double-check it.

Bulk importing a roster

Click Bulk import to load a whole panel from a spreadsheet:

  1. Optionally download the CSV template so your columns line up.
  2. Choose a .csv or .xlsx file. It's parsed in your browser.
  3. Review the preview table — every row is validated and marked Ready or shown with the specific problem (bad email, out-of-range jersey number, etc.).
  4. Click Import. Rows are upserted by email, so re-importing updates existing players rather than duplicating them, and one bad row won't sink the rest.

Recognised columns include display name (required), email, jersey number, position, date of birth, height, weight, availability status and federation athlete ID. Common header spellings are accepted; unknown columns are ignored.

The athlete page

Click any name to open their page — a single view of how that athlete is tracking:

  • Load balance strip — recent (7-day) load against their 28-day base, with the ACWR freshness chip, daily bars for the last fortnight, and markers for upcoming and past matches (your club in amber, another club in purple for dual-code players who've consented).
  • Weekly trend charts — load over 7 days to 12 weeks, with the athlete compared against their position group's average.
  • Recent sessions — a sortable table of GPS sessions; each row opens the session detail.
  • Gym tab (if Gym is enabled) — adherence, tonnage, session RPE, recent and missed sessions.
  • Assign work and Speed Progress buttons (coaches) jump straight to prescribing a plan or to the athlete's Speed Progress.
